The international exhibition "Abu Dhabi Art-2012" will bring together the world's leading galleries this year from November 7 to 10. The event, which presents a variety of works, from museum exhibits to works by aspiring artists, will take place in the cultural quarter of Saadiyat Island, where today Manarat Al Saadiyat Exhibition Center and the UAE Pavilion are located. Later, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum and the branch of the Guggenheim Museum will be built here.
In 2012, Jean Nouvel, Richard Armstrong, Gada Amer, Frank Gehry, Marina Abramovich and other authoritative and colorful artists, architects, sculptors will present their works at the exhibition. Within the framework of the festival, more than 20 discussions and interviews will take place, the participants of which will try to give answers to questions about the legality of the search for a world art center, the role of charitable and commercial organizations in supporting the development of creative opportunities in the region; as well as talk about the architectural and cultural innovations of the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
In addition, guests will be able to attend exhibitions, film screenings, a variety of stage performances and concerts by local and international groups performing everything from electronics to Arabic reggae funk rock.
