For the eighth consecutive year, the BMW Group is number one on the list of global automotive companies published by SAM Group for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes. Among the three leading automotive companies, called annually, the BMW Group is the only one that has been present in this well-known index for 14 years. The sustainability concept is an integral part of the culture and strategy of the BMW Group.
The BMW Group also appears on the Global 500 Leadership Index, published yesterday by the Carbon Disclosure Project (a project to confidentially collect data from large businesses regarding greenhouse gas emissions), thus achieving its highest level. Having scored 99 out of 100 possible points, the BMW Group is not only a leader in its industry, but also one of the three leading global companies in all sectors.
