IN DUBAI, DEVELOPED A MOBILE APPLICATION FOR CITY TAXIS

The Dubai Roads and Transport Committee (RTA) has announced the launch of a new package of intelligent services, including a smart platform for city taxis. So, now you can order a taxi, track its route, arrival time and leave feedback about the service through the mobile application for smartphones. This service is unprecedented for the Middle East region, according to the RTA. Thanks to the new application, taxis from anywhere can be ordered with just the click of a button. It applies to all 8,500 vehicles serving passengers in Dubai today.

The application allows you to determine the location of the passenger, even without an address. This is convenient for the elderly or for new arrivals who are poorly oriented in an unfamiliar city. The application is available in two languages - English and Arabic. RTA also announced that in the near future using a smartphone it will be possible to pay for travel in public transport, including water. And in the taxi, touch screens will be installed to pay for travel and view information about the driver and the vehicle. It is also planned to update the Wojahati program, which allows you to plan trips by public transport. The Committee will continue to increase the package of intellectual services, making the city transport service more convenient and affordable.
