Dubai ruler agrees on expansion plan for Jumeirah Beach Hotel

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, has signed an expansion project for the famous Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The fifth phase of the expansion of the resort will end in 2018. The new resort will include a 350-room hotel with panoramic views of the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel and bay, private beach, spa and fitness center, tennis courts, shops, restaurants and bars. In addition, the existing yacht club will be doubled. The Jumeirah Beach Hotel expansion project is in line with the Dubai Visior 2020 program, which aims to attract 20 million tourists to Dubai by 2020 and as a result make the emirate the number one tourist destination in the world.
