The hotel brand Marriott has abandoned the management of several hotels in Dubai.
Marriott International and Al Habtoor Group have announced that the St Regis Dubai, W Dubai Habtoor City and The Westin Dubai Al Habtoor City hotels will no longer be part of the brand portfolio.
St. Regis and W at one time became the first hotels under these brands in Dubai, and Westin - the largest in the Middle East. The hotels have about 1.6 thousand rooms, 18 restaurants and lounges, two spas, 34 conference and banquet rooms.
In a statement, Marriott International points out that this is a mutual decision reached within the framework of friendly relations between the parties. The management of these hotels will be transferred to the Habtoor Group by July 31.
