UAE remains the leader in the luxury travel market

The UAE will remain the regional leader in the highest segment of the tourism market until 2022.

Dubai, UAE. The United Arab Emirates will remain the regional leader in the highest segment of the tourism market until 2022 among the Gulf countries, according to a study on the Arabian Travel Market tourism exhibition.

Currently, the UAE has already concentrated 75% of luxury hotels, another 61% of the total number of luxury hotels under construction in the region also falls on the country. 95% of all 5-star hotels are managed by international hotel chains. The study explains that the Emirates managed to achieve such an outstanding result over the past 10 years.

In 2017, 35% of all luxury projects in the region were built in Dubai, most of them in Dubai. In total, there are 69,396 rooms in luxury hotels in the Gulf countries. Among the most famous brands are St. Regis, Palazzo Versace, Bulgari, Armani and Raffles.
