Jumeirah hotel group has opened a desert resort in Abu Dhabi.

The Jumeirah Group is expanding its hotel portfolio with the opening of a luxurious desert resort in Abu Dhabi.

Jumeirah Al Wathbah Desert Resort & Spa was built last September. The resort is permeated with the atmosphere of a traditional desert village. It is embodied in patios, pedestrian walkways, as well as in water bodies and pools.

Among the luxurious amenities of the new resort are a spa, villas with private pools and six restaurants and bars. Panache Restaurant offers poolside dinners, while Al Mabeet has been inspired by Bedouin traditions and offers traditional desert dining. There is also a rooftop bar. The resort pool goes into a bar with underwater seats.

Talise Spa has 13 luxurious treatment rooms and private terraces, as well as a Turkish hammam, snow caves, hot and cold water pools and salt rooms. There is a separate yoga area.

Adventure lovers can enjoy cycling along the dunes and desert hikes. In the evening, guests are waiting for the show with falcons.

Additional amenities include a kids club and meeting rooms.

The hotel is 40 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi and 90 minutes from Burj Al Arab.
