In Dubai, the new Al Furjan Club entertainment complex opens with a restaurant, swimming pools, sports courts and gyms.
General developer Nakheel announced the opening of Al Furjan Club, its tenth entertainment complex, as part of the expansion of its hotel business by 5 billion dirhams ($ 1.36 billion).
According to the developer, dozens more clubs are under development.
Glasshouse Restaurant has been built at Al Furjan Club, ready to accommodate 150 people. There is a 25-meter pool, a children's pool, a sports court and a fully equipped gym with four fitness studios.
The project is located in the southern part of the Al Furjan community. The club is located next to Al Furjan Pavilion, Nakheel Shopping and Restaurant Center, which opened last December. A mosque is currently under construction. The complex has parking for 300 cars.
Thorsten Rice, Managing Director of Nakheel Hospitality, said: "We are proud to have added Al Furjan to our expanding collection of local clubs, which have become an integral part of our Dubai projects."
"We expect this new place to be very popular among members and guests who now have a new place to eat, relax, socialize and keep fit in this popular, fast-growing community," he added.
The Al Furjan community is already home to more than 5,000 people. The population will grow to 65 thousand in the future, when the community is fully completed.
Al Furjan Club is on a par with the existing Nakheel clubs in Jebel Ali, Jumeirah Islands and Masakin Al Furjan. Clubs at Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Village, Village Warsan and Nad Al Sheba are also getting ready to launch.
