The UAE set the highest fuel prices in the last 2 years

Fuel prices in the United Arab Emirates will rise in December.

UAE sets new fuel prices in December 2017. In line with rising world oil prices, gasoline and diesel prices in the country will rise and reach a 28-month high.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the price of 98th gasoline will increase by about six percent and will reach 2.15 dirhams ($ 0.58), while the 95th gasoline will cost 2.04 dirhams ($ 0.55) per liter per next month compared to 1.92 dirhams ($ 0.52) this month.

Similarly, the cost of 91 unleaded gasoline will increase by 6.5% next month.

The Department of Energy has raised diesel tariffs to AED 2.20 ($ 0.59).

The last time such high prices in the UAE were set in August 2015, the first month after deregulation.

S&P Global Ratings on Tuesday raised its forecast for Brent crude oil prices for 2018 to $ 55, while WTI left at $ 50.
