A large-scale expansion is planned on the Abu Dhabi embankment with the opening of the first skate park in the emirate.

Abu Dhabi's Marina Mall is gearing up for an expansion valued at AED 3 billion ($ 816.8 million), according to developer National Investment Corporation (NIC).

The statement said that to the coastal zone, the new Marina Walk will add 546 meters and 123 thousand square meters of entertainment facilities, including the first skate park in Abu Dhabi.

The project provides for 15 thousand square meters of open park areas for events, many water bodies, three helipads and 900 additional parking spaces.

According to the NIC, work on the embankment will begin in the second half of 2018.

Meanwhile, the expansion of Marina Mall will begin with the southern block, which will present luxury stores of world brands, restaurants, as well as a new residential tower.

The northern block will be supplemented with new entertainment attractions. Recall that the mall already operates a bowling alley, VOX cinema, Magic Planet and Bounce Abu Dhabi, the largest indoor trampoline park in the Middle East.

The facilities that are currently in the Marina Mall will be modernized in early 2018.

The mall in Corniche currently offers 122 thousand square meters. m of retail space on five floors. It has over 400 stores.
