Dubai Motor Show 2009, the largest Middle East auto show, celebrates its 10th anniversary with fourteen world premieres, forty regional premieres and showcases over 200 cars

The 10th anniversary Middle East International Motor Show Dubai Motor Show 2009, which presented the best automotive news and technologies from around the world, exceeded all the wildest expectations of the organizers, and also attracted a huge number of participants and visitors from around the world. Among the exhibitors were companies from Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Japan, Lebanon, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the UAE and the USA.

The opening ceremony of the Dubai Motor Show 2009 was held by Sheikh Mansour bin Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The grand auto show Dubai International Motor Show kicked off 16th and lasted until December 20, 2009. The venue, as always, was the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Center (DICEC). The car exposition has become the most spectacular and exciting event for the whole family on the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The cancellations and reschedules of the world's leading automobile dealerships in 2009, as well as the selection of the Dubai International Automobile Show by leading international automakers as a platform for their world premieres, once again confirmed the importance of the Middle East region as a whole and Dubai, in particular, for the global automotive industry.

The Dubai International Automobile Salon, first held in 1991, today is significantly superior to its world rivals. In this anniversary year for the Dubai International Motor Show, 14 world premieres, 40 regional debuts and more than 200 new cars from around the world were presented within its framework.

Among the models that first entered the world markets after the show in Dubai, such as: Arash Super Cars AF-10, Kepler Motors, KIA Cadenza, Mercedes-Benz G Class '79 Edition and Renault GCC Fluence. To them were added owners of tuning and modification programs, such as Fab Design's Porsche Panamera Widebody, McLaren Desire Roadster and Mercedes SL Ultimate, Hammam BMW X6M and Revere 2010 Range Rover Sport HSR. The automotive world also surprised Brabus, who made two world premieres, and BF Performance introduced the Versace Lamborghini Murcielago GT 660.

The visitors of the exhibition received great pleasure from the unique concept cars presented at many exhibition stands, as well as from special offers, interactive games and opportunities to win fantastic prizes during all five days of the show. All this allowed to make the 10th anniversary release of the Dubai International Motor Show particularly memorable.

“The region’s car enthusiasts' passion for innovative car design and excellent car performance, as well as the reliability and flexibility of the Dubai Motor Show in the harsh environment of a changing industry means that this exposition has become even more important in the automotive world,” said Trixie Loch, Senior Vice President, Exhibitions Dubai World Trade Center, organizer of the automobile showroom. “Without a doubt, the world premieres of such famous brands as Arash Super Cars, Kepler, KIA, Mercedes-Benz and Renault put the Dubai Automobile Show and the Middle East region in the spotlight of the whole world, and ended the past year on a very positive note.”

Along with a demonstration of exciting new products from the international auto industry, the Dubai Automobile Salon celebrated its 10th anniversary to offer something to every visitor and participant. All visitors to the current exhibition could take part in the drawing of one of six cars, the total value of which amounted to 1.5 million UAE dirhams. The winners are: Gazi Abdel Halik (Chevrolet Cruze winner), Navjot Singh (Volkswagen Golf), Suhaz Kulkarni (Audi A4), Bassem Saleh Aljun (Toyota Sequoia - Platinum Premium), Navanit (Chevrolet Camero) and Bimal Anthony (Merceds Benz S400 Hybrid ) In addition, all visitors to the exhibition were able to witness the unique transformation of a regular Lexus car into gold (thanks to a special coating of gold leaf), and then its triumphant participation in the ENOC Green Route program.

The Dubai International Automobile Salon, dedicated to the whole range of goods and services related to the automotive industry, offered its exhibitors and visitors absolutely everything and once again proved its popularity and vitality. The next Dubai Motor Show will be held in 2011.
