Announced date of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan in the United Arab Emirates in 2017.

Dubai, UAE. The UAE Moon Observation Committee announced the start date of the holy month of Ramadan on May 27, Saturday. Thus, May 26th will be the last day of the month of the Shaban, since on May 25th it will not be possible to observe the crescent moon after sunset in the sky.

In most Muslim countries, the month will be visible in the sky after sunset, May 26. With the naked eye, the month will be visible on the American continent, as well as in South and East Africa, including Sudan, Somalia, Mauritania, Morocco and Algeria. In other countries it will be more difficult to make out a month. The committee specified that the final announcement of the beginning of Ramadan will be made after the advent of the month.

Ramadan (Arabic: رمضان) or Ramadan (Turkish: Ramazan) is a month of obligatory fasting for the Muslims (Saum), fasting in Ramadan is also called "Ramadan" and is traditionally regarded as one of the five foundations of faith (pillars of Islam). During the month of Ramadan, faithful Muslims in the daytime refuse to eat, drink, and have intimacy. The duration of the month is 29 or 30 days and depends on the lunar calendar. Fasting begins at the beginning of dawn (after the morning azan) and ends after sunset (after the evening azan).

Every day before fasting, Muslims pronounce the intention (niyat) in approximately the following form: "I intend to fast the month of Ramadan tomorrow (today) for the sake of Allah." Muslims preferably half an hour before dawn to finish the morning meal (Suhur) and start a conversation (Iftar) immediately after the time of conversation. It is recommended to talk with water, milk, dates, etc.
