The world's most “smart” trash can will appear in the UAE

The world's smallest e-waste bin will appear in the UAE.

Dubai, UAE. The world's smartest electronics waste container will be developed in the United Arab Emirates by 2020. The task of e-Bin is to satisfy the needs of the country's residents in the disposal of electronic waste, which every resident of the UAE produces in the amount of 17.2 kg per year.

An electronics tank will improve the quality of waste processing and make the recycling system itself more efficient. So, it will be equipped with a touch screen and an information system that provides communication with both the waste educator and the recycling company.

In particular, e-Bin will report that it is full and will direct the consumer to the nearest container capable of accepting its waste. At the same time, the utilizer will receive a message that it is time to empty the tank. In addition, the container will be able to identify waste and inform the consumer if its used electronics is not suitable for disposal.

The design bureau Baharash Architecture is responsible for the development of the new product, which were also involved in major environmental projects at Sustainable City in Dubai and the Oasis Eco Resort in Liv. They said they would build a tank of high-quality carbon fiber using vacuum casting technology, making it lightweight, durable and resistant to all weather conditions.

Smart containers are independent of electricity - they will be powered by solar panels. The first generation of e-Bin will appear in Dubai on the eve of the world exhibition "EXPO 2020".
