Who would doubt that David Beckham Classic can easily guess the metrosexual addictions of a modern daffodil. The composition is based on a favorite drink of the same category of men: the gintonic motif is actively supported by fresh notes of mint and lime, galbanum, nutmeg, warm vetiver and the new-fangled ambermax molecule. In the fragrance advertising campaign, David is still the same sophisticated city dude ... “I have everything I need,” the hero says manfully, admiring his own reflection in the mirror, to the beauties with their obviously tired “I'm worth it”.
What do you like most about the new product, David?
We tried to make all the aromas that we created in recent years unlike the existing ones, and at the same time supporting the class. I think we succeeded. Classic turned out to be very mature, courageous and, of course, classic! From my point of view, he is equally good for a teenager, and for a respectable man. I am very happy that we managed to create it.
How does it reflect your style?
I think it reflects the style of a true British. For example, I like to pretend to be an English dandy, using this image in clothes. But at the same time (you know that!), I am actively promoting my own style.
How was the photo shoot with Craig McDean? What are your impressions of the advertising campaign and working with a star photographer?
I am usually lucky to communicate with amazing people. So shooting with Craig left the most pleasant impression. He is a true professional. He knows what he wants and always gets it. In addition, Craig does everything very quickly. However, this does not affect the result at all. Agree, everything turned out just great!
What does the slogan “Reassess the classics” mean for you personally?
I try to adhere to the classic style with a "twist" in its modern reading. So the slogan reflects the art of combining tradition and modernity.
Do you agree that fragrance is the main accent that completes the look?
Absolutely! The aroma is very important, because it is he who creates the mood. Therefore, I call it the last accessory that should be worn before leaving the house.
Who is the best example of a classic look for you?
The first one that automatically comes to mind is Steve McQueen. You will not find flaws in his style.
He is a clear "classic", but at the same time, a "fatalist tramp", which allowed him to be and remain an icon of style right up to the present day ... And as I said, I love modern things with a touch of classics. Do you understand what I mean ?!
