Speak and show Design Days Dubai

OUR THIRD EDITION “DAYS OF DESIGN IN DUBAI” WILL COLLECT 35 GALLERY FROM THE WORLD. LOVERS OF UNUSUAL FACTORS AND ORIGINAL FORMS ARE WAITED FOR IN THE TENT AT THE EXPERIENCE OF THE BOURGE OF THE KHALIF From March 17 to March 21.

New VS Newest

So far, the only fair in the region for the achievements of modern designers is a space where points of view meet, ideas are rethought and the creative search continues. Already venerable and just beginning authors turn wood, metal and glass into objects that can be useful in everyday life or even completely transform it.

Compared to 2013, the exposition expanded by almost 20%. Among the new exhibitors are gallery owners from Algeria, Japan, Jordan, China, Austria, Portugal and Pakistan. Those who returned to the fair again are participants from Europe, America, Asia and Australia. Dubai itself will not miss the opportunity to demonstrate its special look: this year, six galleries will present it at once.

Debuts VS Discovery

This year, special attention is paid to France. And starting in 2014, the Discovery section, which focuses on only one country, will become permanent. The famous Parisian gallery Yves Gastou, which is very rarely seen in the exhibition space, has made a Middle East breakthrough. In collaboration with the French Institute, four promising teams were approved by the organizers to participate in the exhibition: Galerie S. Bensimon, NextLevel Galerie, Galerie Gosserez and Ymer & Malta.

“We are pleased to present to the Dubai audience a diverse collection of next-generation design items that we have gathered together with regional and international exhibitors. A mix of techniques, practices and talents has given us a world-class fair. Design Days Dubai grows and develops with the growing appetite of collectors and interior connoisseurs alike art, as well as the growth of Dubai itself as a center for innovative design and art, ”says Cyril Zammit, permanent director of DDD.

And a new twist

By tradition, a variety of seminars, master classes and round tables with experts will be held within the framework of the “Designers Days in Dubai” for those who wish to plunge even deeper into the world of creative research. By the way, together with the world-famous jewelry house Van Cleef and Arpels and the Tashkeel Gallery, the “Turning Point” project will be continued, demonstrating that there is no product that was not preceded by a creative process.

Young artists of the region are invited to participate in it, and the work of the winner will be included in the Design Days Dubai exhibition. For the first time on the last day of the fair, admission to it will be free for everyone.

ANTIQUE OF THE FUTURE

For more than a quarter of a century, Yves Gastu has been selling contemporary design items to those who previously collected only antiques. Among the fans of his work are billionaire Bernard Arnault, philanthropist Bill Gates, heir to the Fiat empire Lapo Elkann, fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld and several Russian oligarchs. Yves Gastou works in the interior genre, at the junction of pop art and baroque.
