The non-profit art space, which is a three-story building, is located in the center of Sharjah. Opened in 2010. On the ground floor there is an art center where educational seminars and lectures are held, on the second - a private collection of Sheikh Sultan Saud Al Cassimi (Barjeel Art Foundation), on the third - a gallery of modern art.
