THE MOSCOW ROYAL BALLET CHAIN STORE WITH THE FAMOUS FAIRY-TALE “CINDERELLA” PERFORMANCE PROMISE promise to be the sensation of the summer festival season in the UAE.
The legendary tale will launch the summer season in Abu Dhabi: the first performance will be held at the National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi on June 6. In addition to troupe dancers, the soloists of the Bolshoi Theater will take part in the performance. Sergei Prokofiev’s musical masterpiece will be performed by a live symphony orchestra, the choreographer of the performance is Anatoly Emelyanov.
Ballet in three acts based on the story of the same-name fairy tale by Charles Perrault was created during the Great Patriotic War. For the first time, “Cinderella” was staged by Prokofiev’s music on November 21, 1945 at the Bolshoi Theater. Its director was Rostislav Zakharov, and the leading role was played by ballerinas Olga Lepeshinskaya, Galina Ulanova and Raisa Struchkova. Earlier on the plot of Cinderella were ballets to the music of other composers. As you know, "Cinderella" is a story with a happy ending about the vicissitudes of fate and the triumph of goodness and sincere love, created back in the 17th century.
In the first act, the events take place in the house of the evil stepmother Cinderella, where she meets a good fairy, is transformed and goes to a ball at the royal palace.
In the second, the action takes place in the palace. Cinderella dances with the prince, but at midnight, escaping from the palace, loses a crystal slipper. In the third act, all the heroes are engaged in the search for a mysterious beauty. All the inhabitants of the kingdom try on a crystal slipper, but only one of them fits perfectly. It is in her that the prince recognizes his beloved.
