SCULPTURE "MADONNA MEDICI" AND OTHER MASTERPIECES OF THE ITALIAN ARTIST AND SCULPTOR MIKELANGELO - AN IMPLEMENTED PERFECTION. BUT PEOPLE, Alas, CANNOT EVERY DAY LOOK SO FINE. TODAY, MANY BET ON THE FACE SCULPTURING USING COSMETICS, WHICH ALLOWS TO CHANGE THE EXTERNATION UNCERTAINTY.

Through the efforts of secular beauty Kim Kardashian, who posted on her twitter photos and videos of makeup created by her makeup artist Mario, face sculpting instantly appealed to thousands of admirers around the world (Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss, Jessica Chastain and Renata Litvinova are on the star list). And this is not surprising. With the help of blush and correctors, you can create the desired oval of the face, make the wide nose thin and attractive, for closely set eyes - visually increase the distance between them, hide the sagging skin under the chin, raise eyebrows and raise the cheekbones.

The Westmore family is considered to be the pioneers of sculptural make-up, which introduced the concept of "Hollywood style": densely painted eyes, thin, clearly drawn eyebrows in the shape of an arc, bright lips on bleached skin and a fashionable classic profile. In 1917, British wig maker George Westmore established his first beauty department at Selig Polyscope Studios. His sons worked in the legendary Hollywood studios Warner Brothers, Fox and Paramount Pictures, where they won fame for brilliant make-up artists. “City on the Border”, “Private Life of Elizabeth and Essex”, “Casablanca”, “Gone with the Wind”, “A Midsummer Night's Dream” - these films can be used to study the origin of the history of sculptural makeup. Much later, the trend was resurrected by the American makeup artist Kevin Okoin, who in the 90s turned public consciousness upside down. In his book Making Faces, he argued that cosmetics can make almost any face perfect. The results of his "cosmetic experiment" were appreciated by star clients - Cher, Gwyneth Paltrow and Julia Roberts. So the modern version of sculpting was born.

The make-up book, which became the New York Times bestseller, was based on the little tricks of make-up artist Eye, which can be repeated at home (preferably in daylight). Use a dark tonal foundation to darken certain areas of the face and give them a sunken appearance: for example, cheeks, temples, chin, side walls of the nose, so that they fade into the background. Put a light tonal foundation on those parts of the face that you want to emphasize (as if to push forward): on the bull's eye cheek, under the eyes and in the middle of the chin.

Modeling makeup is built on the principle of correction of light and shadow on the face. For contour correction you will need corrective blush, highlighter, contouring brushes, primer, and masking correctors and powder will significantly facilitate the process.

7 TIPS FOR FACIAL SCULPTURING

To n

  • to make volume to the lips, powder their natural contour, with a highlighter, draw along the lower lip and lighten the point in the dimple under the nose. Draw a new contour with a pencil, departing from the natural not more than 1.5 mm. Blend the resulting lip contour and apply the lipstick with a brush on the lips with a thin layer.

  • In order to visually reduce the large and wide nose, draw a thin line along the back of the nose with a highlighter, and darken the side walls and wings of the nose with a dark corrector.

  • If you have close-set eyes, make a bet on white shadows and use a pencil to put dots in the area of the inner corners of the eyes to visually increase them. For wide-set eyes, we recommend using a dark corrector.

  • Imagine that your face has a vertical line from the outer corner of the eye that you cannot go beyond. By applying blush from the ear to the imaginary line and blending them properly, you will put a shadow and visually lift your cheekbones.

  • A dark foundation or powder will help hide a sagging chin, which should be applied along the jaw line and blend well.

  • Highlighter, applied above the eyebrows, to the hairline and to the whiskey, will make the narrow forehead visually wider. A couple more tricks with a highlighter: its thin strip under and above the eyebrows will make them higher, and the look more open. And the highlight of the highlighter under the lower eyelid will hide the circles under the eyes and level age-related changes.
