Dubai Watch Week takes place for the first time in October in Dubai

The Dubai Association of Culture and Arts, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, and the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) Award have joined forces to make Dubai Watch Week, the largest watchmaking event in the world, first held in the UAE.
The goal of this new non-profit project is to attract both well-known and new watch collectors not only from all over the region, but also from around the world, as well as to enable watch lovers to travel to the world of exclusive novelties. Dubai Watch Week (DWW) will talk about innovative approaches to the latest watchmaking achievements. In the framework of DWW, it is planned to conduct seminars and master classes from influential watchmakers, in addition, it will be possible to take part in various internships and mentoring programs. DWW, supported by Her Highness Sheikh Latifah Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will be held October 18-22. Key people from all over the world are planning to attend the event.

“The desire to become more familiar with watchmaking rum in the Middle East continues to grow exponentially, and over the past few decades, this industry has become key to our foreign market,” said Abdul Hamid Seddiki, vice chairman of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons. - Dubai Watch Week will become the main educational platform, a place for discussions and acquaintance with the most modern and exclusive watches in the world. "

On our own, we note that in this way Dubai plans to initiate in the Middle East region a semblance of the most famous watch exhibition Baselworld, annually held in Switzerland.
