The evening was a success: Longines opened the season with a six-horse race program with a prize fund of 880,000 Dirhams, and purebred Arabian horses debuted in the new season at the preparatory races of Mazrat El-Rahwaya over a mile distance with a prize pool of 160,000 Dirhams.
The evening also marked the approaching Dubai International Race Carnival, which begins on January 7, 2015, and culminated in the long-awaited Dubai World Cup - horse racing with the largest prize pool.
