While working on improving our site, from which the history of Russian Emirates began back in 2001, we constantly add new formats to it - photo galleries, blogs, calendar of events, etc. We started publishing videos on our website a relatively long time ago, but in February of this year, the Russian Emirates TV channel gained a second wind - we launched Tatyana Vishnevskaya’s author’s program “The Magnificent East”, designed to introduce viewers not only to the culture and customs of the United Arab Emirates, but also to popular video format to tell about modern achievements, about all the most unusual, bright, beautiful, unique and interesting in this colorful and peculiar eastern country.
I think everyone remembers the phrase that Lenin spoke in conversation with Lunacharsky that "of all the arts, cinema is the most important for us," which after almost a hundred years has become even more relevant - today, not only do millions watch movies, but they also shoot. And although sometimes it’s just short videos shot on mobile phone cameras, but thanks to the Internet’s entertainment and popularity capabilities, they often surpass full-length tapes with millions of budgets and fantastic special effects. Largely due to the popularity of our pages on social networks that we used to promote a new project, the first issue we published collected tens of thousands of views, and the second, about the famous mosque in Jumeirah, was watched more than a hundred thousand times.
