A renowned environmental specialist will spend a week dedicated to sharks in Dubai.
Atlantis, The Palm, a world-famous resort in Dubai, is joining forces with eminent environmental specialist Mike Rutzen and the UAE's Ministry of Climate and Environmental Change to host Shark Week from July 28 to August 3, 2019.
A week of thematic events and discussions will be held at the Lost Chambers Aquarium and will help guests learn more about the conservation and importance of protecting marine life around the world.
Mike Rutzen will host some exciting events at Atlantis, including discussion sessions with marine experts and a diver program. Each child under the age of 11 is provided with free admission to The Lost Chambers Aquairum, provided that it is accompanied by one adult, and the child’s clothing includes shark-themed details.
Mike Rutzen also invites guests to enjoy the exclusive opportunity to explore with him the amazing Ambassador Lagoon Atlantis aquarium, which is home to more than 65 thousand species of marine animals. Visitors will receive basic diving skills, as well as useful tips from Mike.
A Q & A session with Mike Rutzen will take place on Tuesday, July 30, at 2 p.m.
The cost of attending the event is 110 dirhams ($ US 30) per person. Children aged 3 to 11 years can get to the session for free on the conditions stated above.
At this event, the expert, as one of the few people on the planet who participated in the "swim" with white sharks, will answer guests' questions and tell amazing stories about these creatures.
At 19:00 the same day, Mike invites guests to a free meeting, during which he will talk about his incredible adventures associated with sharks around the world, as well as his tireless efforts to protect them from extinction.
