Arab Emirates freed arrested warship from Qatar

The United Arab Emirates released the Qatari warship, which had previously been at the center of the scandal.

The Arab Emirates released the Qatari warship, which on April 30 entered the territorial waters of the UAE and was detained.

Four servicemen who were on board the ship were also released. Among them are two Qatari sailors - Lieutenant Muhammad Al Hale and Junior Corporal Saeed Al Marri. Two other crew members were Palestinian Muhammad Al Beltaji and Indian Fayes Talkum.

The release of the ship on Monday, May 6, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE.

The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrain severed diplomatic relations with Qatar in July 2017. Among other things, the Allies forbade Qatari aircraft and ships to enter their air and sea space.
