97-year-old resident of Dubai received a driver's license

A 97-year-old Indian from Dubai has renewed his driver's license.

Dubai, UAE. A 97-year-old Indian resident in Dubai named Tehemten Homi Dhunjiboy Meta renewed his driver's license. Thus, after three years, he can become the first hundred-year-old driver on the roads of the emirate.

His driver's license is valid until 2023. However, Techemten is in no hurry to drive, believing that cars make people lazy. Since 2004, he has been using public transport or walking for several hours a day, which he considers to be the key to his health and longevity.

Interestingly, just the other day, Prince Philip and the Duke of Edinburgh voluntarily surrendered his driver's license. Earlier, on January 17, the 97-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain got into an accident near the royal estate of Sandringham. “After careful consideration, the Duke of Edinburgh decided to voluntarily surrender his driver’s license,” Buckingham Palace said.
