In Dubai, firefighters fought violent fires at an industrial plant for several hours.
On Friday morning, January 11, 2019, a serious fire occurred in a plastic processing plant in the Dubai Jebel Ali district. A fire swept over most of the building, puffs of smoke were visible from different parts of the city.
Some entrances to the Jebel Ali Free Zone were temporarily closed as a precaution.
The building is located behind the offices of United Motors and General Electric.
The Dubai Civil Defense stated that a fire was reported at 9 a.m., and the first of three teams was at the scene after 10 minutes.
They managed to cope with the fire only at 14:30, Dubai police said. According to the authorities, no one was injured in the incident.
