Dubai car parking will be free

Dubai authorities have made parking in the emirate free for the coming holidays.

Dubai's Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) announced that parking in the UAE next Sunday, November 18th, will be free for the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday Party (PBUH).

The initiative applies to all paid parking areas with the exception of multi-level parking complexes.

All customer service centers will be closed during the holiday. They will resume work on Monday. However, two smart centers at Umm Al Ramool and the RTA headquarters will open on Sunday.

Authorities also announced public transport opening hours on holiday.

On holiday, metro red line stations will run from 05:00 to 00:00, and green line stations from 05:30 to 00:00. The tram will serve passengers from 06:00 to 01:00 the next day.

Major bus stations such as Gold Souq will operate from 04:25 to 00:29, and Al Ghubaiba Station from 04:14 to 00:33. Minor stations such as Satwa will operate from 05:00 to 23:00 except Route C01, which will operate around the clock. Al Qusais Bus Station will be available from 05:00 to 23:45, Al Qouz Industrial Station from 05:00 to 23:35, and Jebel Ali Station from 05:00 to 23:30.
