St. Petersburg is ready to promote Russian in the United Arab Emirates

St. Petersburg will prepare a Russian language training program for residents of the UAE.

The authorities of St. Petersburg plan to hold large-scale events to attract students from the United Arab Emirates to higher educational institutions of the Northern capital, city governor Georgy Poltavchenko said at a meeting with Amal Al Kubaisi, chairman of the United Arab Emirates Federal National Council.

During the discussion of the issue of attracting students from the UAE to the higher educational institutions of St. Petersburg, it was noted that for this it would be necessary to develop and build a system of teaching the inhabitants of the United Arab Emirates the Russian language. In particular, the city is ready to send a group of teachers to the United Arab Emirates to help popularize Russian education with Arab applicants about to enter universities in the city on the Neva.

The visit of Amal Al Kubaisi was dedicated to the Eurasian Women's Forum. The Federal National Chairperson noted that bilateral relations have reached a high level in the trade and energy sectors. She emphasized that it is necessary to continue to develop exchanges in culture, education and science.
