UAE residents are the main consumers of cosmetics in the region

Consumers from the United Arab Emirates spend millions of dollars on cosmetics and personal care products.

According to Euromonitor International, in 2018 the value of the beauty and personal care market in the Middle East and Africa will reach $ US 35.9 billion and will continue to grow with an aggregate annual growth rate of almost 10 percent over the next four years.

UAE consumer spending in this segment is $ 247 per capita. This is more than in any other Middle Eastern country. The United Arab Emirates with this indicator occupy the ninth line in the ranking around the world. By 2020, growth is projected to $ US 294.

Many experts note that an increase in consumption in the field of cosmetics and skin care in the UAE occurs both among women and men.

In addition, they note the growth of the halal and organic market segment. TechSci Research predicts 12-15 percent growth in the region’s organic cosmetics segment in the region over the next five years.
