Ex-chairman of Ferrari is preparing a new cultural project in the capital of the UAE

Former Ferrari chairman is set to launch a new project dedicated to Italian culture in Abu Dhabi.

Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, an Italian entrepreneur and former chairman of Ferrari, is considering launching a new cultural project in Abu Dhabi that will showcase the treasures of his homeland.

Previously, Luca has already helped develop the concept of the Ferrari World theme park on Yas Island. A new project called Casa Italia, according to the idea, should become a one-of-a-kind place of concentration of art, culture and trade, according to sources close to the project.

Mr. Montezemolo's plans are largely based on the success of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which has become the flagship of the cultural scene of the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Casa Italia will be an innovative combination of a shopping center, science park and museum, which will showcase archaeological finds and art objects, academic achievements, successes in the field of architecture and design. The idea is also to showcase treasures such as the famous La Scala opera house and Renaissance sculptures and paintings.
