The cause of the fire in the Zen Tower building in Dubai

A preliminary fire has been identified in the Zen Tower building in Dubai Marina.

Dubai, UAE. The Dubai Civil Defense Authority has established a preliminary cause of the May 13 fire at the Zen Tower in Dubai Marina.

According to firefighters, the source of ignition was on the ground floor of the building, in the kitchen of one of the tenants, and a combustible substance of unknown origin contributed to the rapid spread of fire.

As a result, the first five floors of the building were destroyed, and due to strong gusts of wind that day the flame reached the upper floors of the 15-story building. More than 100 people were evacuated and resettled at a nearby hotel. No one died.

On the ground floor there are several restaurants and rented premises, including the popular Uzbek restaurant "Uzbekim". Where exactly the fire started is not reported in the interests of the investigation. The investigation is currently investigating whether the oversight or careless attitude to the fire caused the fire.
