The bullet train will deliver goods to the UAE at a speed of 1200 km / h

Virgin Hyperloop One will build a super-fast freight transport system in the United Arab Emirates.

DP World, the port operator of Dubai, announced on Sunday a partnership with Virgin Hyperloop One to create ultra-fast shipping systems worldwide.

DP World is already the largest investor in Virgin Hyperloop One, a company that designs the so-called "bullet train."

A newly created company called DP World Cargospeed will develop a cargo delivery system with a maximum speed of 1200 km / h.

Hyperloop is a futuristic vehicle that looks like a train, but moving at the speed of a jet plane.

According to Virgin Hyperloop One, freight routes will develop along with passenger ones. This means that the first working system can begin to be operational by 2025.

The only difference between the two systems will be that the transport capsule will be adapted for loads, not for people.

The partnership was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Richard Branson, British entrepreneur who chairs Virgin Hyperloop One, and Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulei, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Director of DP World.

Branson in Dubai last Sunday was accompanied by a top management team. They held several meetings with the authorities of the emirate. Virgin Hyperloop One, a senior executive, said a concrete agreement with the Highway and Transportation Authority (RTA) is expected in the coming weeks regarding the passenger route.
