Dubai launches Samsung Pay and Apple Pay payment services in emirate public taxi

From now on, passengers will be able to pay for trips in Dubai's public taxi using their smartphone and payment services Apple and Samsung Pay.

The Office of Roads and Transport (RTA) introduced a new service that allows you to use applications on smartphones. Cash and cards will also be accepted.

Ahmed Bakhrosyan, executive director of the RTA Public Transport Agency, said: "The service aims to offer taxi passengers easy ways to pay."

Currently, already 8 thousand cars are equipped with means for payment using smartphones, and their number will grow in the future.
