The growth of tourist flow from Russia stimulates the construction of new hotels in Dubai

Tourists from Russia are stimulating the introduction of new hotels in the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai, UAE. The hotel fund in the United Arab Emirates replenished with 6,800 new rooms in 2017 - mainly in the wake of growing demand from tourists from Russia, the Colliers International report says.

The study notes that last year, the growth of tourist flow from Russia amounted to 98%! 78% of new hotel rooms were commissioned in Dubai and 10% in Abu Dhabi. In 2017, the UAE had 77 thousand branded hotel rooms, while in 2018 the number of rooms will be replenished to 90,600 rooms, and in 2020 their number will increase to 119 thousand.

Colliers International predicts that hotel occupancy rates will increase and high competition between hotels will contribute to a soft adjustment in rental rates. Demand will spur the introduction of new tourist and entertainment locations: including La Mer Beach, Dubai Safari, Dubai Frame and Warner Bros Abu Dhabi Amusement Park.
