7 children died in a fire in the UAE

A fire in the family home of the Emirate of Fujairah (UAE) claimed the lives of seven children.

On Monday night, January 22, seven children died from suffocation due to a fire that broke out in a residential building in the emirate of Fujairah, UAE.

According to police, the victims of the fire were brothers and sisters - four girls and three boys - aged five to fifteen years. Among them are the five-year-old twins Sarah and Sumaya.

Major General Muhammad Ghanem Al-Qa'abi, the commander in chief of the Fujairah police, confirmed that the police received a statement from the mother of the children at 5:40 a.m.

Police and ambulance officers who arrived at the scene found the children in the house and took them to Dibba Fujairah Hospital. Medical workers were forced to ascertain the death of all seven children.
