This year in Dubai, New Year's fireworks around the world's tallest building will be replaced by a laser show.
Dubai, UAE. This year, residents and guests of Dubai will not see the traditional fireworks from the tallest building in the world - the Burj Khalifa skyscraper. For the first time, colorful fireworks will be replaced by an equally bright laser show called Light Up 2018.
The psychedelic show is expected to involve nearby Downtown Dubai buildings. In addition, the musical and choreographic performance will be complemented by dances of Dubai fountains. More than 1.5 million people are expected to see the show live.
