In the desert of the United Arab Emirates, tourists were hit by ATV fire

United Arab Emirates Air Force Aviation Unit rescues British tourists who were hit by ATV excursions.

Two wounded British tourists were rescued in the Al Badayer desert in the emirate of Sharjah, UAE, the Ministry of Internal Affairs aviation service.

An air patrol was sent to rescue tourists injured by the fire of ATVs.

Colonel Pilot Salim Khalifa Al Suwaydi, Deputy Director of the Department of the Aviation Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said the notification was received from the National Medical Emergency Team at the scene.

Tourists with burns were brought to Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah.

Al Suwaydi said the wounded took part in an organized desert tour when their ATVs caught fire.

He urged desert residents and sports enthusiasts to always take precautions and wear protective clothing when engaging in such extreme sports.

He also added that residents and visitors should always be equipped with communication devices that can be used in remote areas.
