Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai will open completely updated in 2018

All 425 rooms and other facilities at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai will be refurbished.

The Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, known for its undulating façade and located next to the Burj al Arab on the Jumeirah beach road, has been one of Dubai's most visited destinations since its opening in 1997.

Now the iconic hotel is preparing for a significant update, timed to coincide with the reopening of the institution for guests in 2018.

The upgrade program has been going on for the past two years.

From May next year, the hotel will stop booking guests. 425 rooms and other facilities, including beach areas, open spaces, restaurants and the lobby, will be renovated. In October, the hotel will open its doors again to celebrate its 21st anniversary, said Sven Wiedenhaupt, CEO of Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

According to him, a completely new experience "will be worth the wait."

"The glorious wave-like facade of the hotel will remain untouched, but the atmosphere inside will be updated, which will allow us to create memories for another twenty years," he said.

Talise's gym and café, some parts of the beach, Talise's kids club, La Veranda restaurant and Wild Wadi water park will remain open.

Guests at other Jumeirah facilities including Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Jumeirah Creekside Hotel will receive unlimited and free visits to the water park for the entire stay.

For those who have booked their stay at the Jumeirah Beach between May and October, the hotel will offer alternative accommodation options at Madinat Jumeirah.
