Two new hotels to open in Dubai

The international hotel chain Starwood Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of two new hotels in May 2008 in the Emirate of Dubai (UAE). Thus, another 700 hotel rooms will be added to the tourism sector of the emirate.

It is expected that the two new hotel complexes will, to some extent, contribute to reducing the housing shortage for tourists, especially due to an increase in tourist flow to the United Arab Emirates, which, according to the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of the Government of Dubai (DTCM), will increase up to ten million people a year by 2010. The department also reports that the average hotel occupancy rate in Dubai in 2007 was 82%.

New hotels in the Starwood chain, which operates international hotel brands such as Sheraton, Westin and Le Meridien, will be located on the highway. Sheikh Zayed and on the coast of Jumeirah. The first hotel, a four-star Four Points by Sheraton, 43 floors high, is made in the form of a tower of glass and steel overlooking the Sheikh Zayed Highway, the second - Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina will decorate the beach line of the elite Jumeirah district. It is planned that by 2010, about 63,317 hotel rooms will be built and ready for use in Dubai.
