Montblanc presents the first chronograph with its own clockwork
Montblanc presented its first Montblanc Star Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher chronograph at the annual International Watchmaking Salon (SIHH) in Geneva, in which its own movement is developed and assembled in the company's workshops. For the first time in its history, Montblanc launched two movements - the MB R100 manual winding caliber and the MB R200 self-winding movement, which today marks ten years of research by Montblanc watchmakers and means that the company not only joins the ranks of exclusive manufacturers of classic watches, but also reinforces all new lines brand.
The Montblanc Star Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher model is dedicated to the memory of Nicholas Rieszak, who invented the world's first chronograph in 1821 for the timing of horse racing. The new Montblanc chronograph is released in a limited edition: 25 pieces in 950 platinum, 75 pieces in white and yellow 18 carat gold and 125 pieces in 18 carat pink gold. In accordance with classical watch traditions, the case diameter of the new chronograph is 43 mm. The dial and the back wall are covered with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, which allows you to consider the mechanism. The power reserve is designed for 72 hours. Montblanc introduced women's watches to the Lady Elegance Diamonds line with a quartz movement.
