Dubai court is hearing the murder of a girl because of a financial dispute.
A Dubai court of first instance is hearing a case of a Lebanese-born seller who strangled his girlfriend in a dispute and then hid her body in a travel bag.
According to the accused, he was in a relationship with the victim, who periodically requested money for personal needs. Once she borrowed from a young man 50 thousand dirhams ($ 13.6 thousand) to make a contribution for an apartment. After she requested funds for the opening of a beauty salon, promising to make the accused a business partner. However, she did not keep her word and in every possible way avoided any contact with a man.
In April, the accused came to the victim, but she, according to him, reacted to him "in a humiliating and disrespectful manner."
"I asked her to honestly say if she wants to part with me. I also told her that she should return my money," he said.
It seemed to the man that his girlfriend was ignoring him again, and he began to strangle the victim. Realizing that he had committed the murder, the accused panicked, hid the body in his bag and stole money and valuables from the woman’s apartment.
He was later arrested by police at the workplace thanks to video surveillance cameras.
