On November 30, 2008, the Women's Diplomatic Corps Association in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, chaired by the wife of the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Larisa Krasnogor, visited the Rashid Pediatric Center in Dubai. The visit to the children was dedicated to the celebration of the 37th anniversary of the formation of the UAE state.
Women representing 66 countries of the world presented 150 gifts to the pupils of the Center. The representative office of the Russian company Lukoil in the UAE took an active part in this charity event. With the funds transferred by the wife of the representative of Lukoil in the Emirates, Elena Nikolaeva, another sports and fitness class was equipped at the Rashid Center.
Then the guys showed the guests a festive concert prepared on their own. And they, in turn, were pleased with their colorful and unforgettable performance by young dancers from the Russian Music Center of Sharjah. The spouses of diplomats took part in the games and activities of the creative workshops of the Center, where, with pleasure, they made applications with children, painted and sang.
The Rashid Pediatric Center was established in Dubai at the initiative of the Emirate Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It educates children with disabilities in mental and physical development. In Dubai, it has become a good tradition among large and well-known companies and businessmen to support such charitable organizations. Rashid Pediatric Center already has game rooms, equipment for which was given to children by jewelry groups Damas and Samra, and other companies. Now, a room from the largest Russian oil company Lukoil has also appeared in the Center.
