The second graduation of students from the French University of Fashion Esmod. This summer, the largest private fashion show was held at Wafi Dubai Mall, which involved 150 models that demonstrated the results of three years of study by students of the Dubai branch of French Fashion University Esmod, an international fashion university.
Both ordinary spectators, in the amount of more than a thousand people, and a professional jury consisting of prominent representatives of the fashion world took part in assessing the creativity of graduates of Esmod Dubai University. In particular, the jury included: Patrick Lavoie, former art director of Dior Fashion House; Mary Nino, Presidential Representative of Esmod Paris Couture School; Milena De Lickenshtein, Couture Director of Scherrer Paris Fashion House; Hulud bin Thani, author and editor of the Internet resource HellwaFashion.com; Claudine Digris, Fashion Design Program Coordinator at Esmod International. Alan Azuo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the United Arab Emirates, attended the show as a special guest.
The jury was faced with a difficult task - to choose the best of the best, evaluating a variety of collections developed by young designers, Esmod Dubai graduates from around the world. During the defile on the 25-meter podium, which involved 150 models, 26 makeup artists and 10 hairdressers, 108 toilets from the collections of ready-made clothes, Haute Couture, costumes for theater and cinema were shown.
The winners who passed the "excellent" exam in the Pret-a-Port category were: Monia Manel Kahul (Canada), who received a prize for "Best Model Dresses", and Ananchal Jaggi (India) for "Best Fashion Design"; in the haute couture category: Olga Nurek (Russia) for "Best Model Dresses" and Rima Zanun (Canada) for "Best Fashion Design"; in the category "Costume for Theater and Cinema": Elmira Borubaeva (Kyrgyzstan) for "Best Model Dresses" and "Best Fashion Design". In addition, Olga Nurek received a special jury prize - Jury Award. Congratulations to all Esmod Dubai graduates on graduating and entering the world of haute couture!
