Ermenegildo zegna

… or Zegna - Italian fashion label for men's clothing, shoes and perfumes. It was founded in 1910 by Ermenejildo Zenya in Trivero, Biellese Prealps. Now managed by the fourth generation of the Zenia family. It is one of the world leaders in the production of fabrics and men's clothing.

Founded in 1910, the company quickly gained a reputation as a manufacturer of excellent fabrics, and by the end of the 1930s, about 1000 people were already employed in its staff. In 1938, Ermenegildo Zegna products were first sold in the United States. When the sons of Ermenegildo Zena, Aldo (b. 1920) and Angelo (b. 1924), joined the business, the company was renamed Ermenegildo Zegna and Sons (Eng. Ermenegildo Zena and Sons). By 1955, the company already had about 1400 people.

Ermenegildo Zenya died in 1966 at the age of 74. Aldo and Angelo took the business into their own hands and two years later released a line of men's suits produced at the Zenia factory in Novaro.

The first store was opened in 1980 in Paris, the second in 1985 in Milan. By 2007, the number of stores had grown to 525. Aldo Zenia died in 2000, and Angelo Zenya still remains the Honorary President of the family company.

Ermenegildo Zegna's range includes fabrics, suits, ties, knitwear, shirts, accessories and sportswear. The company annually produces about 2.3 million meters of fabric, 600,000 suits, 1.6 million parts of sportswear and 1.7 million other textiles. Ermenegildo Zegna employs more than 7,000 workers.
